Providing shelter and food removes the threat of homelessness and hunger from our veterans’ minds and allows them to focus on their journey of recovery and growth.
We offer on-site Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder counseling at least once a week. Our psychologist also conducts weekly group sessions with all house residents in an effort to maintain a harmonious environment, which is conducive to recovery & growth.
We leverage partnerships with accredited local universities to offer our veterans access to quality education. We also work to ease our veterans' education-related financial concerns by helping them obtain VA educational benefits and federal financial aid as well as connecting them with the Back On My Feet program to pay existing college loans.
We offer training in basic workplace computer skills, resume building, and job search assistance, all of which is done at The Veterans Group Education & Wellness Center, our on-site computer lab. We also help our veterans obtain trade certifications and connect them with temporary staffing agencies in order to secure employment.
Our Alumni Battalion is a network of TVG alumni created to maintain camaraderie and support among house graduates as they pursue endeavors beyond TVG. This support network is a crucial element that enables our veterans to achieve sustained success.
